Infant Massage Class

For generations, mothers around the world have known that the soft touch of their hands soothes, calms & communicates their love to their babies and helps smooth their transition into the world beyond the womb.  The latest scientific research confirms that physical affection is vital to the development & wellness of children - easing discomfort, releasing tension, improving sleep, aiding digestion, increasing awareness, helping premature & full term infants gain weight, even aiding asthmatic children to improve their breathing.  


At this International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) 5 class series you will learn…


- the importance of continuing the bonding process in the 4th trimester & beyond
-step by step demonstration of easy to follow massage strokes
-practice time to reinforce your confidence in using what you’ve been shown 
-specific routines tailored to help relieve gas & colic, fever, chest & nasal congestion, 
sleep issues, constipation & other digestive disturbances, and overall relaxation 
-new information on the benefits of skin to skin contact
-lullabies, rhymes & games to enhance the massage experience

Infant massage promotes a loving, attentive bond between parents & their baby.  It’s benefits go far beyond the immediate physiological gains. Infant massage is not just a fad. It is an ancient art that connects you deeply with the person who is your baby, and helps you to understand your baby’s particular non-verbal language so you can respond with love & respect.  It empowers you as a parent, for it gives you the means by which u become an expert on your own child, and therefore can respond according to your baby’s unique needs.  The deep emotional bonds formed in infancy lay a foundation for a lifetime of trust, courage, dependability, faith, and love.  When practiced daily, it provides a foundation for physical, emotional & spiritual harmony & closeness that will be carried with your baby for life.
